Babcock is seeking a Commercial Manager at the Devonport Royal Dockyard site to lead governance and commercial management of high‑value defence infrastructure programmes. You will work with senior stakeholders to ensure compliant delivery across complex projects, including NEC4 negotiations and risk management.

The role is full‑time with hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and requires SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large, complex construction contracts in regulated environments.
• Experience managing MEP packages across full lifecycles.
• Strong negotiation skills with stakeholder management.
• In-depth NEC4 ECC/PSC/ECSC knowledge.
• Robust commercial risk and contract governance.

Responsabilités

• Provide commercial governance for tenders, reviews, change control and risk across complex programmes.
• Prepare and validate cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and VOWD for multiple packages.
• Lead subcontract tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation and awards.
• Negotiate NEC4 terms to secure strong commercial outcomes and control scope.
• Escalate high‑risk commercial issues to ensure compliant delivery.
