Job summary

Babcock in Devonport, Plymouth is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex construction and infrastructure programmes that support national security. You will coordinate delivery from planning to execution, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while working with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.

This onsite role offers early starts, structured governance, and exposure to high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure, defence, or similarly regulated environments
• Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives
• Strong understanding of project management principles, governance, and delivery frameworks
• Experience applying organisational policies, procedures, and project controls throughout the project lifecycle
• Health and safety training such as IOSH or NEBOSH

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating pre-construction and construction teams to achieve project objectives safely and effectively
• Driving a strong safety, security, and environmental culture across project activities
• Managing project schedules, performance reporting, budgets, and construction delivery activities
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks, dependencies, and opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, environmental, and project governance requirements
