Job summary

Ramboll UK is seeking a senior Business Development and Account Director to lead the USVF-focused opportunities across the UK defence sector. You will shape growth strategies, cultivate relationships with defence customers, and drive revenue through complex bids and long-term partnerships.

You will operate within Ramboll's national security leadership, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and navigating a matrix structure to secure high-value contracts while maintaining robust pipeline

Qualifications

Experience operating at senior level in infrastructure advisory, engineering, or consultancy selling to defence/defence-related government sectors.
Proven track record in BD, capture management, or commercial roles within defence, aerospace, security, or government sectors.
Experience leading and securing wins and frameworks ranging from £250k to £20m.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute BD strategies aligned with Ramboll's growth goals in defence and security.
Identify, qualify and pursue opportunities across the USVF estate in the UK.
Build and maintain relationships with defence customers, government stakeholders, primes, and OEMs.
Monitor defence programmes, tenders, frameworks and upcoming opportunities.
Lead lifecycle from identification to bid, negotiation and contract award, and manage post-award accounts.
