Job summary

Jago Consultants in Maidstone are seeking a Debt Recovery Customer Executive to join the busy Collections and Recovery team.

Candidates from customer service or call centre backgrounds who want a new challenge will fit; hours are 8am–6pm, with alternating 8am–4pm and 10am–6pm shifts. Salary £19,016 with an OTE of around £28,000. Benefits include pension, private medical insurance, 26 days holiday plus BHs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 GCSEs A*-C, including English and Maths.
• Experience in customer service/call centre is desirable.
• Ability to research and analyse debt cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proactive and goal-focused with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and responsibility of debt recovery cases.
• Research and analyse cases to decide the best course of action.
• Check and produce documents and outgoing letters.
• Communicate with debtors to find constructive solutions.
• Ensure all debts are collected on time.

Job description

We are working with a well-established Legal firm who are looking for a Debt Recovery Customer Executive to work within their busy Collections and Recovery team based in Maidstone.

This role would be well suited for a person who has come from a Customer Service/ Call Centre background who is looking for a new challenge and career change.

For this Debt Recovery Customer Executive:

• You will be a proactive, forward thinking individual with a positive attitude towards your work.
• You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and will be self-motivated and enjoy working towards goals and targets.
• You will possess excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal and enjoy communicating to people via the telephone.

The main duties for this role will be:

• Taking ownership and responsibility of debt recovery cases
• You will be required to research and analyse cases, deciding what the best case of action is for each case.
• Checking and producing documents and outgoing letters
• You will communicate with debtors to find the most constructive solutions.
• You will make sure all debts are collected on time.
• For this role you will need to have at least 5 GCSE’s A* – C (including English and Mathematics), with further qualifications being desirable.

Hours: 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, You will be required to follow a shift pattern 8am to 4pm and 10am to 6pm on alternate weeks

In return for this you will earn a competitive salary of £19,016 with an OTE of circa £28,000
