Morson Group is seeking a Specialist Credit Controller for their York office to lead debt recovery efforts and strengthen governance around aged debt. The role blends hands-on collection work with data reconciliation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with project, commercial and finance teams.

The successful candidate will drive dashboards, KPI reporting and robust debt governance while supporting continuous improvement across processes, controls, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Essential: aged-debt recovery and debt management experience within a project-based or complex organisation.
• Essential: understanding of accounts receivable, invoicing, commercial management and debt dispute resolution.
• Essential: strong data reconciliation and validation skills, with ability to produce dashboards and KPIs.
• Essential: attention to detail, analytical judgement and ability to identify root causes of inaccurate reporting or overdue debt.
• Essential: confident stakeholder engagement, negotiation, constructive challenge and independent working.
• Essential: process improvement, reporting controls, governance and accountability experience.

Responsabilités

• Own a prioritised debt recovery strategy focusing on value, age, recoverability and invoices nearing 180 days.
• Lead recovery meetings, negotiate resolutions of disputed balances and escalate blockers appropriately.
• Coordinate actions across finance, project, commercial and external stakeholders; track collection progress against targets.
• Create debt dashboards, aged debt analysis, management information packs and quality controls.
