Beyond Talent is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy Leeds-based Collections team. The role focuses on managing client ledgers, reducing debt, and meeting collection targets in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have proven credit control experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and a proactive, professional approach. Hybrid working and a supportive team are offered in a professional services setting.

Qualifications

• Credit control or collections experience required.
• Strong telephone and written communication skills.
• Confident negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage own workload.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data.
• Comfortable working to targets and deadlines.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Proactive, professional and 'can-do' attitude.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of client accounts and proactively reduce outstanding debt.
• Monitor payment terms and identify accounts requiring further action.
• Build strong relationships with clients to support effective debt collection.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity.
• Develop an understanding of clients, their businesses and individual payment profiles.
• Monitor and work towards agreed KPIs and collection targets.
• Provide regular updates and relevant information to the wider Collections team.
• Attend meetings with management to discuss outstanding debt and collection activity.
