Job summary

Citizens Advice Wakefield District is seeking a motivated Debt Adviser to join the Debt Advice Team on a part-time basis. The role involves delivering FCA regulated advice and handling casework across phone, in person, via webchat and email.

You will help clients manage priority and non-priority debt, budgeting and maximising income, liaising with third parties, and empowering clients to find a way forward.

Qualifications

• Accredited in Money Advice to casework level or nearing completion.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in debt advice delivery.

Citizens Advice Wakefield District is looking for a motivated and committed individual to join their Debt Advice Team on a part-time basis. The service is busy and client focused with a track record in providing high-quality advice and excel against their contractual performance.

As a Debt Adviser you will deliver high quality, FCA regulated advice and casework over the phone, in person, via webchat and email for a wide range of clients, using strong communication and interpersonal skills to support individuals invulnerable situations. This will include advising clients on dealing with their priority and non-priority debt, debt solutions, budgeting and maximising income. You will also liaise and negotiate with a range of third parties to manage varied issues and empower clients to find a way forward.

If you are accredited in Money Advice to casework level (or nearing completion of accreditation to this level) or above; have a commitment to continuous professional development with a minimum of 1 years recent experience in debt advice delivery they would like to hear from you.
