Job summary

Durham Gilesgate Primary School is seeking a Communication Support Worker to provide BSL/SSE communication support to deaf students in the Enhanced Learning Provision, initially in Key Stage 2. The temporary role requires commitment to safeguarding and flexible placement across age ranges in County Durham.

Responsibilities

  • Provide communication and signed support (BSL/SSE) to deaf students.
  • Support in Key Stage 2 within the Enhanced Learning Provision.
  • Work as part of a team to promote inclusion and effective communication.
  • Be flexible across age ranges and travel across the county if required.
