Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Communication Support Worker to assist a D/deaf pupil at a Monmouthshire secondary school from September 2026. The role requires proficient British Sign Language (minimum Level 3) and the ability to apply this expertise to enable access to learning and full inclusion.

You will contribute to inclusive communication practice across the authority, supporting workforce development and providing deaf awareness and total communication approaches

Qualifications

• Must have good proficiency in British Sign Language (minimum Level 3).
• Experience supporting D/deaf learners is desirable.
• Ability to work independently within a school environment.

Responsibilities
