Engage Education is recruiting a School Caretaker for a large secondary campus in Slough. You will supervise contractors, manage keyholder duties and ensure safety and security across the site.

Applicants must have school environment experience and a valid enhanced DBS. The role is full-time with immediate start; you’ll join a supportive team and receive wellbeing benefits and partner discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a school environment.
• DBS enhanced check before starting work.
• Able to interview and start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with facilities team to ensure projects finish on time.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure building and grounds are secure when not in use.
• Open the building in the morning and lock it at the end of day.
• Check heating, lighting and alarm systems regularly.
• Order equipment relevant to the role.
