About the team

The data analyst team collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and actionable insights, while maintaining standardized processes and documentation to drive efficiency.

About the role

You will work with team on daily activities involving the design, management, maintenance, and utilization of databases. Provide leadership and drive strategy, standards, and processes for applicable database environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance and performance of database systems and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver infrastructure updates and releases.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to database administrators.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring system stability and security.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to database architecture and processes.
  • Support team development through coaching, feedback, and inclusive leadership.
  • Promote innovation and accountability within the team.
Requirements
  • Significant database Administration experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrate SQL server and Postgres experience
  • Very good interpersonal and mentoring abilities to support team development and collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of database infrastructure, including maintenance, administration, and design.
  • Proven ability to analyse and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
  • Experience conducting root cause and impact analyses for database-related incidents.
  • Skilled in installing, upgrading, and maintaining database infrastructure.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend new or alternative database technologies.
  • Exceptional organisational and project planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated leadership in setting goals, managing teams, and delivering results across departments.
  • Experience leading teams through complex problem-solving, including identifying risks and proposing solutions.
  • Confident in presenting technical and strategic information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
