Job summary

Places for People is seeking a part-time Porter to join the on-site team in London. You will help keep the development safe, well-presented and welcoming for residents and visitors, support site security, and assist residents as needed.

This is a visible, hands-on role with house managers and operations colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day running. We offer a supportive, inclusive culture and flexibility for start/finish times.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Desirable: customer-facing, on-site role; ability to build relationships; strong communication; basic IT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks.
• Be a visible presence on site and help residents and visitors.
• Support on-site cleaning team with additional tasks.
• Work with operations for accurate information sharing.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies per procedures.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience across the development.
• Provide daily information to the Property Manager.
