BaxterStorey in London is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for day-time hours, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £38,000 per annum and a 40-hour week. You will prepare, cook and plate dishes to brand standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards; ensure food safety.
• Station Management – oversee production at your station and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality, presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate with team and assist colleagues where necessary.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen clean and ensure equipment is in good order.
