Northern Trains Limited is seeking a Day Shift Train Cleaner based at Sheffield Station to help keep our fleet safe, clean and welcoming for passengers. You’ll operate in a safety‑critical environment, supporting timely service while maintaining high standards of hygiene on board.

With proven cleaning experience, you’ll work on daytime schedules, handle biologically sensitive spills with care, and record tasks using the MPRO5 system.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience in commercial, industrial, or domestic settings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and care for passengers.
• Proactive, reliable, and month-to-month team player.
• Comfort working outdoors and onboard trains in all weather.
• Must be physically able to stay active and on your feet during shifts.
• Ability to record and manage cleaning tasks in MPRO5 system.

Responsibilities

• Clean train interiors thoroughly to high hygiene standards.
• Perform quick-turnaround cleans during active service to keep trains on time.
• Remove litter, empty bins, and restock onboard facilities.
• Handle spillages safely, following health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with depot and operations teams to ensure efficient turnarounds.
