Job summary

Ganymede, a leading UK train operator, invites applications for a Night Shift Train Cleaner in Darlington. You will help keep trains clean, safe and ready for passengers across the North of England through routine cleaning and preparation before services.

This hands-on role is physical and requires attention to detail; full training and PPE are provided. Shift: 20:00–06:00, 4 days on, 4 days off, with overtime and room for career development within the team.

Qualifications

• This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail and reliability.
• Prior cleaning or housekeeping experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Full training and PPE will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, mop and sanitise high-touch areas within trains and station premises.
• Carry out deep cleans of train interiors to the highest standards.
• Maintain toilet facilities to a high standard.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure trains are clean before passenger service.
