Job summary

Imerys in Newton Abbot, United Kingdom, is seeking a Processing Operative to operate production equipment including shredding, blending and milling plant on a day shift. The role requires a valid loading shovel license and driving license, with 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £27,573.14 plus a £1,918.80 shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Valid loading shovel license and driving license required.
• Good numeracy, literacy and IT competence.
• Safety-focused with strong communication skills.
• Industrial experience preferred.
• Manufacturing/production environment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate shredding and blending equipment safely.
• Operate the front-end loader for the majority of the shift and perform checks.
• Complete pre-shift inspections and operate mobile plant (FLT training provided).
• Perform level-one maintenance and report equipment defects.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Meet production deadlines and ensure product quality.
• Follow HSE protocols and report incidents promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
