Job summary

Imerys Minerals Ltd in St Austell, Cornwall, is seeking a Mobile Plant Operative to operate a Rigid Dump Truck or Medium Wheeled Loaders, ensuring safe, productive shifts. You will perform safety checks and work with Site Supervisors to resolve issues while maintaining access routes and complying with local rules.

Ideal candidates have quarry or agricultural exposure, a valid UK driving licence, and CPCS/MPCQ accreditation if available; training is provided to obtain the qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarry or agricultural environments.
• Must be able to legally drive in the UK.
• Training will be provided to obtain MPCQ/CPCS if not held.

Responsibilities

• Operate Rigid Dump Truck (days) or Medium Wheeled Loaders (days and nights) safely and efficiently.
• Carry out equipment safety checks at the start of each shift.
• Maintain excavation and tipping areas per site rules and traffic plans.
• Collaborate with Site Supervisors to resolve issues and communicate via in-cab radio.
