Job summary

IMERYS is seeking a safety-focused Processing Operative / Front Loader Driver at Furzebrook, Dorset to operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel within a busy mineral processing site. You will move materials, load lorries and support production to meet targets while upholding health and safety.

The role combines mobile plant operation with site duties, including inspections, housekeeping and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, with 37.5 hours per week and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel / Front Loader.
• Good numeracy, literacy and basic IT skills.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Experience in production, quarrying, aggregates, waste or similar environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with operating procedures.
• Move materials between stockpiles, holding bays and processing areas.
• Carry out loading duties for dispatch and customer deliveries.
• Complete pre-shift inspections and safety checks on mobile plant.
• Maintain safe and efficient material flow across the site.
• Carry out site cleaning and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Complete operational records using digital systems and tablets.
• Support site operations and additional production activities where required.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Report incidents, hazards and equipment defects promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
