Job summary

Imerys Minerals Ltd in West Thurrock is seeking a Packing & Dispatch Operative to operate big bagging and related equipment, bulk load lorries and containers, and maintain accurate production logs.

You will record quality, safety and environmental data, manage palletiser operations and stock, and ensure uninterrupted production while keeping a clean, safe work area.

This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Fork lift truck license required.
• Experience operating big bagging, packing, and mixing plant equipment, including fault diagnosis via HMI.
• Proven ability to bulk load lorries, containers, and tautliners safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of product specifications, quality testing, and raw material verification.
• Experience receiving raw materials, transferring to silos, and conducting finished goods sampling.
• Strong record-keeping across production, quality, safety, environmental, and dispatch data.
• A proactive approach to site safety, continuous improvement, and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
• Experience managing palletiser operations, stock control, and ensuring uninterrupted production flow.

Responsibilities

• Operate big bagging and associated equipment and maintain logs of production.
• Bulk load lorries, containers and tautliners safely and efficiently.
• Record data for quality, safety, environmental and dispatch areas.
• Remains compliant with all site safety rules and procedures.
• Manage palletiser operations and stock to ensure continuous production flow.
• Receive raw materials and transfer to silos for processing and storage.
• Perform finished goods sampling and ensure accurate documentation.
