Job summary

Simarco International is a leading logistics provider in the UK and beyond, offering bespoke freight solutions across the UK and Europe. We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team, handling palletised freight with emphasis on safety, compliance and reliable customer service.

The driver will manage collections and deliveries across various locations, plan efficient routes, maintain vehicle condition and complete PODs and delivery notes as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience of HGV Class 1 driving is essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle weights and legal limits.
• Familiar with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive and road laws.
• Understanding of Construction and Use Regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work unsupervised under pressure.
• Flexible and reliable with varying hours.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and collection of customers’ freight to and from various locations.
• Multi-drop deliveries and collections.
• Supervise loading to ensure safe securing of goods.
• Ensure correct goods and quantities are loaded/unloaded.
• Plan each day and route for cost and operational efficiency.
• Process and return Delivery Notes and PODs.
