Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for its Fareham operation. This permanent role offers regular daytime work, with overtime availability and a range of benefits.

You will be responsible for completing retail deliveries, operating a Class 1 vehicle with a drawbar trailer, and ensuring loads are secured and paperwork completed accurately. A customer-focused approach and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Current HGV Class 1 entitlement.
• Experience with drawbar trailers.
• Experience delivering to retail stores.
• Good knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load security.
• Professional, dependable and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete retail store deliveries safely and on time.
• Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle with a drawbar trailer.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Secure loads correctly and follow transport/site procedures.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Work closely with transport and yard teams.
