Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent, days-based role near Magor. You will deliver goods safely and professionally, conduct vehicle checks and complete paperwork with accuracy.

The position offers a reliable daytime schedule with pay at £18 per hour, based in Magor/Magwyr, and involves load security, roping and loading duties as part of daily transport operations.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence is essential.
• Experience with drawbar work and roping & sheeting is required.
• Strong load security awareness and safe driving practices.
• Reliability, punctuality and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to follow delivery instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete delivery routes in line with schedules and instructions.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
• Load security and delivery preparation.
• Use drawbar trailers where required.
• Complete roping and sheeting to secure loads.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and site contacts.
• Follow all relevant road safety, transport and workplace procedures.
