Job summary

Workchain in Bristol is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a temporary, day-shift assignment. You will operate Class 1 vehicles, complete deliveries and collections on schedule, and ensure loads are secure.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 entitlement, CPC and tachograph card, and a dependable, safety‑conscious approach. You will work with customers and site teams to maintain professional service and timely paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience in an HGV driving role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle safety and legal driving requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
• Good communication skills and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly
• Complete deliveries and collections in line with schedules
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey
• Secure loads correctly and report any issues promptly
• Complete required delivery paperwork and records
• Maintain professional communication with customers, colleagues and site contacts
• Follow all relevant road safety, transport and site procedures
