Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Day Shift Engineer for a large tourist attraction in London. The role requires a qualified electrical or mechanical engineer with experience in commercial building maintenance and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks on a large static site.

The position offers a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, up to £44,000 per annum, uniform and tools provided, pension, cycle-to-work, and opportunities for progression and overtime.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in electrical or mechanical work.
• Proven experience in large commercial/building maintenance.
• Ability to work as part of a site maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
• Support on-site maintenance tasks and assist other technicians.
• Escort subcontractors and ensure KPI/SLA requirements are met.
• Identify faults in building services equipment and resolve them.
• Report health & safety issues to site management promptly.
• Maintain communications with client staff regarding service levels.

Day Shift Engineer – 4 on 4 off - Large Tourist Attraction – Tottenham Court Road, London –£44,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London. CBW is currently recruiting for a day-shift engineer to be based at a large tourist attraction by Tottenham Court Road. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified electrical or mechanical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance and be able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance tasks. He or she will be required to carry out electrical or mechanical planned and reactive maintenance / Installation across this large static site. Working with the maintenance team on site. He or she will be required to have an understanding/hands-on experience of the below. • 4 on 4 off, Shift Pattern 07:00 am to 19:00 pm/ 10:00 am to 22:00 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Escort specialist subcontractors


• Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.


• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.


• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.


• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.


• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.


• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.


• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

Electrical Duties:

• Carry out Electrical PPM's and reactive maintenance


• Lighting – lamp changes, ballast changes, simmtronic/Phillips lighting


• Emergency light testing


• Power distribution


• Electrical fault-finding


• Small works – new sockets, new lights, new circuits


• Transformers


• Star Delta Starters


• Minor installations

Mechanical Duties:

• Monitor mechanical plant


• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings


• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)


• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)


• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc


• Monitor the BMS systems.


• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)


• General building fabric

Requirements

• Electrical qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc) with 18th Edition or Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)


• Experience working in a large commercial building


• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)


• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance


• Multi-skilled

• Must be able to get to the site for 07:00 am start
