Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks a Day Shift Engineer for a 4 on 4 off pattern at a large tourist attraction near Tottenham Court Road, London. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance across a large static site, with a focus on planned and reactive works and on-site teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Escort specialist subcontractors
• Meet KPI & SLA requirements for the contract
• Perform allocated tasks promptly and professionally
• Identify and report faults in building services and resolve them
• Ensure H&S issues are reported/escalated
• Maintain communications with client staff about service levels
• Report service issues to site management
• Be flexible with site attendance and tasks

Day Shift Engineer - 4 on 4 off - Large Tourist Attraction -Tottenham Court Road, London -£44,000 Per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London. CBW is currently recruiting for a day-shift engineer to be based at a large tourist attraction by Tottenham Court Road. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified electrical or mechanical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance and be able to turn their hand to a variety of maintenance tasks. He or she will be required to carry out electrical or mechanical planned and reactive maintenance / Installation across this large static site. Working with the maintenance team on site. He or she will be required to have an understanding/hands-on experience of the below. Package & Hours of Work

• Up to £44,000
• 4 on 4 off, Shift Pattern 07:00 am to 19:00 pm/ 10:00 am to 22:00 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Escort specialist subcontractors
• Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements.
• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

Electrical Duties:

• Carry out Electrical PPM's and reactive maintenance
• Lighting - lamp changes, ballast changes, simmtronic/Phillips lighting
• Emergency light testing
• Power distribution
• Electrical fault-finding
• Small works - new sockets, new lights, new circuits
• Transformers
• Star Delta Starters
• Minor installations

Mechanical Duties:

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
• Monitor the BMS systems.
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric

Requirements

• Electrical qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc) with 18th Edition or Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)
• Experience working in a large commercial building
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer skills
• Must be able to get to the site for 07:00 am start
