You must be Level 3 qualified with 18th Edition knowledge and a proven track record in commercial buildings. The role offers £55,000, overtime, private healthcare, and clear career progression within a reputable FM provider.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification at Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge.
• Proven maintenance experience in commercial buildings.
• Experience in large commercial or critical environments.
• Trade certificates copies required (essential).
• Multiskilled across electrical, mechanical and general building services.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Must start at 07:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance across lighting, panels, and distribution.
• Emergency lighting inspections and maintenance.
• Air conditioning maintenance on AHUs/FCUs.
• Chiller resets and fault diagnosis.
• Water treatment monitoring and temp checks.
• Maintain mechanical plant, pumps, motors.
• Basic plumbing maintenance.
• Monitor the BMS system and perform checks.
• Escort subcontractors when required.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.

Electrical Day Shift Engineer - FM Service Provider - Commercial Law Firm - Liverpool Street, London - up to £55,000 per annum

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Day Shift Engineer to be based at a high end law firm located near Liverpool Street Station, London. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established FM service provider working within a commercial office building.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (C & G/NVQLevel 3 or equivalent) and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a small on-site maintenance team of two engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical, mechanical, and general building services maintenance across the site.

Hours of Work

4 on 4 off / 6 on 4 off / 4 on 6 off
07:00 am - 19:00 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance, including lighting, lamp changes, ballast replacements, small installations, control panels and power distribution.


• Emergency lighting inspections and maintenance.


• Air conditioning maintenance, including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning and basic servicing).


• Chiller resets and first-line fault diagnosis.


• Water treatment monitoring, including temperature checks.


• Monitoring and maintenance of mechanical plant, pumps and motors.


• Basic plumbing maintenance, including unblocking toilets and minor repairs.


• Monitoring the BMS system, including hot and cold checks.


• Carrying out all allocated tasks professionally and within required time frames.


• Proactively identifying and resolving faults within building services equipment.


• Ensuring health & safety compliance and reporting any issues when required.


• Maintaining clear communication with client staff and site management.


• Escorting specialist subcontractors when required.

Requirements

• Electrically qualified – Level 3 (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)

• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates (essential)


• Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical and general building services
