Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd seeks a Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer in London to join a landmark commercial tower team. You will work a continental shift pattern, handling lighting, control panels, BMS monitoring and essential building services tasks.

Ideal candidates are electrically qualified (City & Guilds L2/3, 17th/18th Edition) with fault-finding skills and a client-facing approach. Overtime, training, and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with City & Guilds Level 2 and 3.
• Must hold 17th/18th Edition wiring regs.
• Ability to provide copies of trade certificates.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Multi-skilled with fault-finding ability.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out lighting, emergency lighting testing and control panel work.
• Perform ballast replacements and UPS/generator maintenance.
• Monitor BMS and manage log books.
• Carry out basic plumbing tasks (unblocking toilets).
• Support pumps and motors maintenance.

CBW is recruiting on behalf of an established building services provider for a role based within a prestigious, high-profile commercial tower in the City of London. You'll be joining a skilled maintenance team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across an impressive blue-chip site, working with cutting-edge building systems in a landmark environment.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in electrical or mechanical building services. In return, you'll receive a salary of up to £56,000, plentiful overtime, ongoing training, and genuine scope for career progression within a company that invests in its people.

Hours of Work

• Continental shift pattern – days and nights, a mix of 4s and 6s
• 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am
• Excellent overtime availability

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting – small installation, fault-finding, lamping
• Emergency lighting testing
• Control panels
• Ballast replacement
• BMS monitoring (hot & cold systems)
• Maintaining and updating log books
• Basic plumbing (unblocking toilets)
• UPS / Generators
• Pumps and motors
