Job summary

PRS in Mayfair is seeking an Electrical Day Shift Engineer to ensure safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems on-site within a prestigious commercial office. You will perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance across lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and fire alarm systems, while supporting a professional maintenance team.

The role requires a City & Guilds Electrical Qualification, 18th Edition, and prior experience in commercial building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Requires City & Guilds Electrical Qualification and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in electrical building maintenance within commercial environments.
• Proven experience in a shift-based engineering role.
• Willingness to join a 1-in-4 call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Maintain and service lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical plant and equipment.
• Attend and resolve emergency callouts in line with KPIs and SLAs.
• Carry out minor fabric and basic mechanical tasks where required.
• Manage tools, materials, and parts required for maintenance activities.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure work quality and compliance.
• Support the Lead Engineer and Account Manager with statutory compliance.
• Ensure maintenance schedules and operational targets are consistently met.

Shift Pattern: Days Only Shift (Mixture of 4's and 6's)

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider at a prestigious commercial office site in the heart of Mayfair. This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer looking to advance their career within a professional and supportive environment.

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems on-site. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, your duties will include both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault-finding across the building.
