Job summary

MBDA in Bolton is seeking an RF & Electronics Engineer to lead production support for Datalink products in a state-of-the-art facility. You will collaborate with Design Authority and Bolton manufacturing teams to maintain high yield and resolve production issues.

The role includes hands-on factory trials, documentation, and design-for-test/manufacture considerations, with opportunities to guide junior engineers and shape product designs for reliable production.

Qualifications

• Proven RF design, testing and fault finding across wide frequency ranges.
• Experience with RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Power Meter).
• Soldering and development board build for proving activities.
• Understand RF production test requirements and design for test/manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support lead for Datalink products at Bolton facility.
• Interface between Design Authority (Stevenage) and Bolton Manufacturing teams.
• Lead factory-based trials, evidence gathering and root-cause analysis.
• Provide RF technical leadership and guidance to other support engineers.
