iwoca is seeking a Data Scientist for the Broker Terms Team in London to shape pricing strategies, terms, and experiments that drive acquisition and customer value. You will design causal experiments, translate insights into practical terms, and collaborate with underwriting and strategy teams to influence product and pricing decisions.

The role blends data science with commercial impact, leveraging AI to speed analysis while maintaining rigorous validation.

Qualifications

• Background in probability and statistics from a quantitative field.
• Experience with Bayesian reasoning and hierarchical models.
• Experience with causal inference and experimental design.
• Analytical ownership from problem framing to delivery.
• Proficient data manipulation and modelling tools.
• Experience using AI to augment analysis; evaluate outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Model expected customer take-up rates and design experiments for pricing.
• Translate findings into pricing and product decisions.
• Collaborate with commercial and strategy teams; coordinate with underwriting.
• Think across the full broker-referred journey to improve CLTV.
• Use AI to accelerate analytical work as a default.
