Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking an External Reporting and Data Quality Officer to support statutory returns, regulatory reporting and data quality activities essential to university operations. The role focuses on analysing, validating and maintaining institutional data to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be comfortable with Excel and databases, and collaborate with academic and professional services teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of statutory returns, regulatory reporting and data quality activities that underpin key university operations
• Analyse, validate and maintain institutional data, ensuring it is accurate, reliable and fit for reporting purposes
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, helping to improve the integrity and consistency of information across the organisation
• Collaborate with academic and professional service teams to support effective data management and reporting practices
• Produce and contribute to management information that supports operational planning and strategic decision making
• Assist with the development and maintenance of reporting processes, documentation and quality assurance activities
• Monitor compliance with reporting requirements and contribute to the successful delivery of regulatory deadlines
• Develop expertise in Higher Education data, reporting requirements and sector best practice while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
