Zusammenfassung

VWFS UK is seeking a knowledgeable Data Protection Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance Team in the UK. You’ll ensure compliance with UK data protection laws, advise business units, and support our DPO in fulfilling statutory duties.

You’ll manage DPIAs, data breach oversight, ROPA maintenance, and regulatory interactions while driving continuous privacy improvements across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Proven data protection advisory experience within compliance or legal functions.
• Strong understanding of ICO guidance and regulatory expectations in consumer credit or retail banking.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive workloads with precision and professionalism.
• Skilled at researching, analyzing, and interpreting regulatory information and presenting it clearly.
• Comfortable challenging views and applying regulatory guidance accurately.

Aufgaben

• Provide expert guidance on UK data protection laws and regulatory changes.
• Maintain Registers of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
• Lead notification of data breaches and MI reporting to senior forums.
• Serve as primary contact for DSARs, complaints, and litigation matters related to data protection.
• Develop second-line monitoring to assess compliance and drive improvements.
• Liaise with ICO on complaints and regulatory inquiries, coordinating investigations and responses.
• Collaborate with Legal & Compliance colleagues across the business to resolve data protection issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data protection compliance and efficiency.
