VWFS UK is seeking a knowledgeable Data Protection Specialist to join the Legal & Compliance Team. You will ensure compliance with UK Data Protection laws and regulatory requirements, acting as a trusted advisor to business units and senior leaders while supporting the DPO and leading initiates on data breaches, risk, and regulator engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience providing data protection advice within Compliance and/or Legal functions.
• Excellent understanding of ICO guidance, codes and regulatory expectations in consumer credit or retail banking.
• Ability to manage complex, time-sensitive workloads with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on UK Data Protection laws and regulatory changes.
• Maintain Registers of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
• Lead assessment, oversight, and reporting of personal data breaches and MI reporting to senior forums.
