Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Data Protection Case Officer to support access to records under the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR. You will work in a small team, communicating effectively with internal and external personnel to locate personal files (physical and electronic) and prepare them for disclosure under tight deadlines.

You will prioritise tasks within department policies, ensure information release is correctly restricted, record all requests on Datix, handle misfiled

Qualifications

• Experience or ability to work under Data Protection/UK GDPR rules.
• Ability to locate personal files (physical and electronic) and prepare them for disclosure under deadlines.
• Effective communication with internal and external personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in locating personal files (physical and electronic) for disclosure under tight deadlines.
• Prioritise and allocate the administrative workload within defined policies.
• Identify information to release and restrict information as per Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
• Record all requests on Datix and log misfiled personal data.
• Take calls from the public, solicitors and the Police.
