Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide legal advice on privacy and data protection across AI-driven products and services. The role supports rapid business development in a fast-paced technology environment.

You will advise on UK GDPR, DPIAs, international data transfers, DPAs, and privacy notices, plus help shape governance frameworks. Collaboration with product, engineering and commercial teams is essential.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law
• Knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on UK and EU data protection and privacy matters.
• Advise on GDPR compliance, DPIAs, international data transfers and data-sharing arrangements.
• Support privacy considerations relating to AI products, technologies and data use.
• Draft and review privacy notices, DPAs, data processing terms and other privacy documentation.

• Monitor regulatory developments relating to AI, data protection and emerging technology.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers as required.

• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
