Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide legal advice across data protection matters as the business scales AI-driven products and services in the UK.

The role requires a UK-qualified solicitor with deep knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles, who can work closely with Product, Engineer and Business teams, drafting privacy notices, DPAs and data processing terms while monitoring evolving regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in data protection and privacy law, preferably in-house or at a technology-focused firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters is desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law, ideally gained in-house or within a leading technology-focused law firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and wider EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
