Job summary

Elevate seeks an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide legal advice on privacy and data protection matters across UK and EU. The role supports AI-driven products and services in a fast-paced technology environment, with drafting of privacy notices and DPAs.

You will advise cross-functional teams on privacy risks, governance frameworks, and regulatory developments affecting data processing and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on UK and EU data protection and privacy matters.
• Advise on GDPR compliance, DPIAs, international data transfers and data-sharing arrangements.
• Support privacy considerations relating to AI products, technologies and data use.

Requirements

• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
