Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide expert legal advice across privacy and data protection matters in a fast-paced AI technology environment.

You will support the business as it develops AI-driven products, advise on GDPR compliance, DPAs and data transfers, and draft privacy notices and processing terms.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law, ideally in-house or with a technology-focused law firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments relating to AI, data protection and emerging technology.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers as required.
