Job summary

Elevate is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer for a 6-month contract to provide legal advice across privacy and data protection matters in a fast-paced AI tech environment in Liverpool.

You will advise on UK GDPR, DPIAs, international data transfers, draft privacy documents, and support governance, policies and cross-functional teams while monitoring regulatory developments. The role requires UK-qualified solicitor and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor or equivalent.
• Strong experience in data protection and privacy law.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy or data governance matters desirable.
• Commercially minded and able to engage with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on UK and EU data protection and privacy matters.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers as required.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and wider EU data protection principles.
• Experience advising technology, SaaS, AI or digital businesses.
• Exposure to AI-related privacy, regulatory or data governance matters would be highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
