A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data and working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams, the role involves ensuring smooth data transmission and quality management. The role has a technical/engineering focus, requiring optimization of data pipelines from raw data onboarding to delivery to front office/investment teams. Skills in SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab are essential for conducting quality checks and anomaly detection.
The successful candidate will act as the main interface between data sourcing and engineering and will be the point of contact for Traders. Additionally, they will work on projects related to testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing centralized data management solutions.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience in Data Operations, Data Solutions, or Data Governance roles within hedge funds, asset managers, or major data vendors. A strong academic background and proficiency in programming languages for analyzing large datasets are required.
The role offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with the possibility of WFH 1-2 days once established.
