A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing centralised Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data, the role involves working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. The role has a technical/engineering focus, involving optimizing data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to delivery to front office/investment teams. Skills in SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab are required for data quality checks and anomaly detection. The analyst will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and engineering and be the point of contact for Traders.
The role also includes working on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst in a hedge fund, asset management firm, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with programming languages for analyzing large datasets are essential.
The position offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once established.
