A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their rapidly growing Data Management team.
Reporting to the Global Head of Data and working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams, the role involves ensuring smooth data transmission, optimizing data pipeline operations, and maintaining data quality. The candidate will utilize languages such as SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies in complex datasets. The role acts as a bridge between data sourcing and data engineering and serves as the main contact for Traders.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating on projects with front office and technology teams, testing new data onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst within a hedge fund, asset manager, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with programming languages in analyzing large datasets are required.
The role offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with options to work from home 1-2 days per week after settling in.
