Job summary

Talent seeks an experienced SC Cleared Data Migration Manager to lead HR data migration activities for a major Defence programme on a contract basis. You will shape and drive migration strategy, including cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation, ensuring secure transition to Oracle Fusion landscapes.

The role requires active UK SC clearance, governance expertise, and strong stakeholder leadership across HR, Digital, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Active UK SC clearance required for handling sensitive HR data.
• Proven track record in large-scale HR data migrations; Oracle Fusion experience is advantageous.
• Delivery governance: mapping, cleansing, reconciliation frameworks.
• Experience in Defence or Public Sector environments with a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage migration risks and issues.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end HR data migration approach with delivery roadmaps.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Manager with active SC Clearance to lead, coordinate, and assure HR data migration activities for a major Defence programme. You will shape and drive the data migration strategycovering data cleansing, mapping, attribute validation, and reconciliationensuring seamless transition to a future Oracle Fusion application landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy and Planning: Define and execute the end-to-end HR data migration approach, translating programme milestones into actionable plans and delivery roadmaps.
• Stakeholder and Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional collaboration across HR, Digital, technical teams, and delivery partners to agree on data requirements, target state definitions, and migration assumptions.
• Data Mapping and Assurance: Oversee source-to-target data mapping, transformation logic, cleansing rules, and technical documentation.
• Validation and Reconciliation: Establish robust frameworks to verify that migrated data is accurate, complete, consistent, secure, and fit for business use.
• Risk and Governance Management: Identify and resolve migration risks, issues, and discrepancies. Establish governance arrangements and report progress to senior programme boards.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality, security, and governance standards for sensitive people data throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Future State Quality: Contribute to long-term data quality standards and governance frameworks for the ongoing HR system.

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Active UK SC Clearance (essential).
• Technical Expertise: Proven track record managing complex, large-scale HR data migrations (experience with Oracle Fusion landscapes is highly advantageous).
• Delivery and Governance: Demonstrable background establishing migration governance, source-to-target mapping, data cleansing, and reconciliation frameworks.
• Domain Experience: Experience operating within Defence or wider Public Sector environments with a collaborative, multi-stakeholder approach.
• Data Security: Deep understanding of handling sensitive HR/people data under high-security requirements.
