Job summary

LA International is recruiting a Data Migration Consultant for a 6-month contract, with remote work and up to two onsite days per week in Manchester. The program focuses on migrating data into Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365, delivering high-quality data with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data migration activities from planning through execution and post-migration validation.
• Analyse source systems and define data mapping, transformation, and migration rules.
• Design and develop scalable data migration solutions for large and complex datasets.
• Build and optimize Dataflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into Dataverse.
• Perform data quality assessments, cleansing, deduplication, and validation activities.
• Execute trial migrations, reconcile migrated data, and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and functional consultants to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Develop migration documentation, mapping specifications, reconciliation reports, and operational runbooks.
• Identify migration risks, performance bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven Experience in data migration and ETL implementations.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data migration projects involving large-scale and complex datasets across multiple business domains.
• Strong expertise in data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and migration planning.
• Experience designing and implementing migration strategies for enterprise applications with minimal business disruption.
• Hands-on experience managing high-volume data migrations while ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale migration projects within defined timelines.
• Experience migrating data from legacy systems into Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:

• Experience using Power Query, Dataflows, and ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
