Job summary

Primark is seeking an Insight Analyst to partner with stakeholders across Trading, Customer, and Retail Operations to deliver impactful business insights. You will analyse complex datasets with SQL and reporting tools, turning outputs into clear data-driven narratives and actionable recommendations.

You will develop dashboards, scorecards, and management packs while identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and drive measurable business value across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytics, insights, reporting, or commercial analysis within retail, apparel, grocery, FMCG, or other fast-paced consumer-focused environments.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and analytics tools, with experience creating dashboards, scorecards, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen connecting data to sales growth, margin, stock availability, and operational effectiveness.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills to translate findings into clear narratives for diverse stakeholders.
• Proven stakeholder management and commercial partnering experience delivering insights with tangible value.

Responsibilities

• Deliver impactful business insights by partnering with stakeholders to understand commercial challenges and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Analyse and interpret complex datasets using SQL, insight applications, and reporting tools to uncover trends and support decisions.
• Create data-driven stories with clear visuals and concise recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop and enhance reporting solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, and management packs for measurable business value.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying manual processes and opportunities to streamline reporting and insight delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Data & Analytics teams while maintaining data quality and trusted outcomes.
