Job summary

UL Solutions in the United Kingdom and Europe seeks a Business Development Manager for Data & Innovation to help define, scope, and grow digital, data, and technology-enabled offerings including Global Compliance Management.

You will gather customer requirements, work with Product, Technical, Operations, Marketing and Sales to shape the offering, packaging, and messaging, and support customer conversations as the product expert, not the account owner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years in business development, product management, or a related customer-facing product role.
• Demonstrated ability to gather customer requirements and translate them into offering definitions, scope documents, or product improvements.
• Strong discovery, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Working knowledge of technical, regulatory, digital, or software-enabled solutions and how they work.
• Self-directed, adaptable, and willing to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements, use cases, and unmet needs to inform product decisions.
• Analyze customer, service, and market data to identify gaps and propose extensions or retirements of capabilities.
• Support pricing, packaging, and positioning decisions with Product, Finance, and Marketing.
• Act as product point of contact for sales and global teams on scope and fit.
• Create collateral, demo content, discovery guides, and use cases for repeatable delivery.
• Lead product discovery sessions focused on customer problems, not predefined solutions.
• Track performance, adoption, and provide insights to Product leadership.
