Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is assisting a secondary school in Barking & Dagenham to recruit a Data Manager / ICT Support Officer. The role is full-time and permanent, 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with responsibilities spanning MIS management and ICT support.

The ideal candidate will manage student and staff records, ensure data accuracy and security under GDPR, and work with the Network Manager to maintain ICT infrastructure and provide frontline support to staff and pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience as Data Manager, MIS Administrator or School Data Officer.
• Strong knowledge of school MIS and data handling.
• Experience with student/staff data and DfE reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of data protection and GDPR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the school's MIS and data systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and timely updates.
• Process student admissions, transfers, and leavers.
• Prepare statutory data returns for DfE.
• Produce reports and data analysis for leadership.
• Provide staff training on information systems.
• Support ICT infrastructure with the Network Manager.
• Install and maintain devices, assist with troubleshooting.
