Job summary

Chadwell Heath Academy is seeking a Data Manager and ICT Support Officer to oversee the academy's information systems, ensuring accurate, secure data and availability for authorised users. The role collaborates with the Network Manager, SLT and administrative teams to support teaching, learning and school administration.

It combines strong data administration with practical ICT knowledge, providing day-to-day support, system maintenance and problem-solving across the academy’s ICT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience handling sensitive data with confidentiality and discretion.
• Ability to train staff in using the academy's data management system.
• Strong knowledge of data protection laws (UK GDPR) and safeguarding considerations.
• Professional integrity and ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as the academy's primary administrator for data management and storage systems.
• Prepare data extracts and reports for SLT, Trustees, and external agencies (e.g., DfE).
• Assist with upgrades, updates and system changes as they occur.
• Provide day-to-day ICT support to staff and students and assist Network Manager.
• Support deployment and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and devices.
• Maintain clear records of IT issues and actions and assist during high-demand periods.
