Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Data Governance Officer to support the Data Governance Manager in delivering robust data governance across the Trust. You will act as a specialist point of contact for data quality and governance, ensuring consistency of data used for analytics, insights and reporting.

Within the Data Analytics and Insights team, you will help maintain data standards, monitor quality, and contribute to data dictionaries and KPI libraries, while

Responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter advisor on data governance and data quality issues.
• Communicates complex data quality and compliance issues.
• Facilitates discussions with services to agree actions to address data quality issues.
• Regular production of complex data quality reports.
• Supports the promotion of data governance policies to support the single view of data.
• Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the data dictionary and KPI library.
• Supports Data Governance Manager to ensure data models are implemented effectively.
• Identifies and escalates areas of data quality for improvement.
• Ensures data recorded and used is accurate and compliant with governance policies.
• Supports training and coaching to staff in specialist software, data governance tools and approaches to data quality.
• Contributes to the specification, testing and evaluation of data governance and reporting tools.
