Job summary

Torus Group is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Analyst in Liverpool to bolster our Data Governance team. You will help ensure data remains accurate, well-defined and secure across the Group, driving better decision-making and performance.

In this hybrid role, you will work with the Data Governance Manager, data owners and stewards, embed governance across operations, and support large-scale transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality and data management principles.
• Understanding of Data Maturity Frameworks and governance principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with large datasets.
• Experience with Excel and BI reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of data quality processes and GDPR requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Governance Manager to embed the Torus Group Data Governance Framework.
• Attend Data Governance Committees to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Escalate governance issues through appropriate channels.
• Profile data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with data owners to resolve data issues and improve information management.
• Support projects involving data migrations and system integrations.
• Provide guidance on data definitions and governance standards.
• Develop and maintain data quality rules, measures and targets.
• Assist BI teams in developing data quality reports and dashboards.
• Maintain data dictionaries and ensure consistent definitions across systems.
• Champion data governance and promote best practice.
